If you remember last Monday, I made a burlap wreath. While making the wreath I ran out of burlap. My husband had to run to Wal-Mart to get new windshield wipers so I asked him to pick me up some burlap if he saw any. He was so sweet to get me some, however, the color he brought back did not match the color I had been using to make the wreath. Sooo... I figured I would use his burlap for another project... a garden flag. We have 2 garden flags in our yard. So far, I have just created one, but maybe I will have time to create another one. Here's how I made the flag:
1. I traced a B onto paper.
2. Then I cut the B out and traced it onto burlap.
3. Then I painted the burlap.
I used a sharpie to color the 2013.
I was not happy with how the flag looked.
It just looked too BLUH.
4. SO, I bought a black paint marker and some green ribbon. I traced the B with the paint marker and also colored in the 2013. I hot glued the green ribbon around 3 sides of the flag. I also just bent down the top of the flag and hot glued it in order to make a flag.
Here it is all finished. I already had the chevron ribbon at home so I added it as well. I still don't think it's the cutest flag. I could've done better... but it's a start. ;)
