Down~ emergent reader

My kids get so excited about learning sight words.  I do not introduce a new sight word each day.  I introduce them as I feel my students are ready for them.  However, the kids get so upset on days we do not learn a "new word".  They will even ask, "Mrs. Black, are you not going to give us a new word?!"  So tomorrow our word will be "down".  I am going to use the following reader to have them practice reading and writing the new word.
