Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope everyone enjoyed St. Patrick's Day!  I loved seeing all my kids in green today!  I am going to show you a little of what we have been working on.

This week we are in the middle of testing for report cards.  I created this activity to see if my students could read simple cvc words.  They cut the words out (not pictured) and then pasted them on the matching cloud.  They did really well.

I created gold with simple addition problems through 5.  The kids picked up a piece of gold, solved the problem, and then recorded the answer.

These two pictures are examples of two different stations in which the kids practiced listening for digraphs "ch, sh, th, wh".  The students then recorded the answer onto their sheet.

At the shamrock stations, students listened for beginning blends.

And this is an example of a math station that had the kids practice analyzing and comparing shapes.  They had to count and record the number of sides and vertices (corners).

Happy St. Patrick's Day! :)

  2. Hi Brittani! I'm just getting around to checking some of the blogs that I've come across on the TPT forum and FB. Yours is so cute! I really like the bees. I'm a bee fan myself, and have created some bee themed products. I'm following you now on Bloglovin' and google+. I've been needing to do some collaboration, and just hadn't had the time to actually sit down and visit new blogs. So, I set aside this week to do that (and work on my own blogs.) Come by and visit if you get a chance!
