I follow Kwik Stix on Pinterest. They are always adding great craft ideas. One of my favorite crafts that was recently added to the board is an idea from Maria Manore Gavin.
After trying the Kwik Stix during Art time, I noticed that the kids were very engaged, even some of the more reluctant boys! I thought since the Kwik Stix helped to get the boys engaged that I would test the Stix to see if they would hold up for some of my printable activities.
Since Kwik Stix are made up of solid tempera paint, I was worried that they would bleed through regular printer paper. I was also concerned that the paint would coat over top of the printer ink so that you couldn't see what was underneath. I printed some pages from my Nocturnal Animals~ Print and Go Unit and gave the Kwik Stix a test.
Here are the results:
As you can see, the Kwik Stix work wonderfully on regular paper as well. Since the Stix have such a quick dry time, by the time the student finishes answering the questions, his/her paper has dried. I was worried about the paint bleeding through regular paper, but I am happy to say that it didn't. I was also worried about not being able to read the print underneath, but as you can see the Kwik Stix do not cover up the ink. The darkest color out of the Kwik Stix Neons, was the purple. It may be a little more difficult to read through the paint than the other colors, but you can still do it.
Just in case you are wondering, I wanted to explain how I manage incorrect answers, since you cannot erase with the Kwik Stix. When checking work, if a student answers incorrectly, I simply put a slash with my marker or pen, through the incorrect answer(s). Then, the student goes back and rethinks the answer(s). Even though the student may end up with a few slashes on his/her work, you can save these printables to show concerns during a Parent/Teacher conference. If you are sending the work home, you can add a little note at the top to parents, such as "Everett is having trouble with subtraction within 5. You may want to practice some at home." I know some of my parents really like to know when a child is struggling with certain skills so they can review more at home.

I teach kindergarten and I think my students would love these. I often use bingo daubers to do worksheets like the ones that you presented above but I think Kwik sticks may be less messy.

Regina- I think you would really love the Kwik Stix! I also enjoy bingo markers, but I noticed they tend to splatter and leak through the page... which is hard to clean off the tables. The Kwik Stix are great! :)
